About Microbiology
Department of Microbiology
The Microbiology Department is actively involved in both undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) teaching. It regularly organizes CMEs, workshops, and conferences to promote excellence in medical education and research. Led by a skilled team of doctors and faculty, the department provides laboratory services to both outpatients and inpatients, as well as serving as a referral laboratory for local practitioners. Routine microbiological tests, including cultures, antibiotic sensitivity testing, and specialized diagnostic tests, are conducted daily with a focus on high-quality performance. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a Laboratory Information System (LIS), to ensure fast and accurate results.
